Gold [Aur] - Mihu Dragomir

With the heavy armors of late fall
the pool wants to lure us again
The boat seems alive, it launches a call
and the willows respond with a soft echo then.
The lazy snakes drink the last warmth from the air,
the water is light that melted, divine,
And you, the sun's daughter, so pure and so fair,
bring light to this kingdom of yours and of mine.
The oars in my hands vibrate like a harp –
to which only I am able to play.
Do listen, my darling, how sweet and how sharp
they raise in the wind the success of the day.
Fall pours fists of gold in the pool and your hair
a flickering flame appears to the eye.
When into the water you dive I'm aware
that you'll burst again to this life like a cry.
The water, elated your body to see,
with arms soft and eager embraces you tight,
your hair calls me gently and soon will ignite,
you'll sink to the bottom, together with me.
The oar now is quiet, we hush in abyss,
the deep water world so strange does appear.
We're swimming together, it's like in a kiss,
a song is beside us, we feel it so near...
